Description

Biresper contains information about whether the respondent holds a temporary or a permanent residence permit in Germany. In the context of biresper the type of residence permit is determined based upon the resondents’ self-declared specific legal status in Germany. Biresper is generated by taking multiple variables about the legal status of the respondent into account and simplifying the multitude of possible legal states of a person into a binary information. A respondents’ status can change from temporary to permanent or in rare cases from permanent to temporary.
